RidgeRock acquired by Tysinger Acquisitions
7 Mile Advisors acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor to RidgeRock in their sale to Tysinger Acquisitions.
CHARLOTTE, NC — 7 Mile Advisors (“7 Mile”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of RidgeRock Retaining Walls Systems (“RidgeRock”), a Charlotte, NC-based provider of engineered retaining wall systems, by Tysinger Acquisitions. This acquisition marks the next phase for RidgeRock and its two founders, Jim Martin, P.E., and Curtis Shillingbur, P.E.
Charlotte, NC-based boutique investment bank, 7 Mile Advisors, acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor to RidgeRock throughout the transaction process. Since the firm’s founding in 2008 it has successfully completed over 160 transactions, representing a variety of middle-market clients across 7 countries. “It’s always a pleasure to represent innovative and successful companies, but it’s even more rewarding when we get to partner with great men who are an impactful part of our regional community. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to work with RidgeRock and Tysinger Acquisitions on this transaction,” said 7 Mile Advisors partner, Tripp Davis.
RidgeRock was developed in 1998 by two Charlotte, NC-based engineers with an idea to innovate the retaining wall system of products. Jim and Curtis created a company and product on strong values and technical expertise that met the specific requirements of the rapidly growing market for engineered retaining wall systems. The RidgeRock product is a revolutionary, user-friendly concrete shear key system developed to provide block-to-block shear resistance without the need for cumbersome pins or clips.
“7 Mile Advisors was a great partner. They kept to their word and were relentless in their efforts representing our company. We would recommend them to anyone wanting a loyal partner in the M&A process,” said Curtis Shillingburg, co-founder at RidgeRock.
