7 Mile Advisors acted as financial advisor to IMPLAN Group LLC (“IMPLAN Group” or “Company”) in its acquisition of MIG, Inc. (“MIG”).

MIG is the market leading provider of economic data for use in economic impact studies including those used for public policy and corporate decision making. MIG’s flagship product, IMPLAN, was created from a model developed over thirty years ago and spun out to MIG, Inc. in 1999. IMPLAN provides detailed economic activity data to hundreds of entities each year, for use in regional, state and federal government economic incentive decisions, government agency policy making, investment decisions, corporate relocation analysis and raising consumer and citizen awareness.

IMPLAN Group was formed by members of MIG’s senior management, along with new management and investors, in order acquire MIG from its founders in a management-led leveraged buyout (MBO). IMPLAN Group has relocated the company headquarters to Davidson, North Carolina, where it plans to add new key employees. IMPLAN Group also plans to accelerate the deployment of new SaaS and Business Intelligence technology solutions and roll out new sales and marketing approaches to increase IMPLAN’s market penetration and further their position as the leading source of economic activity data to private and public entities.

7 Mile Advisors advised the Company on structuring the acquisition of MIG, as well as sourcing outside capital to fund a significant portion of the acquisition proceeds.
