IT Services – Africa

The IT Services market in Africa has been historically dominated by South Africa.   However recent economic growth and infrastructure improvements in other Sub-Saharan countries has begun to generate a viable ecosystem for the growth of technology and technology services businesses.  According to Technoavio, “the authorities in less developed countries of Africa have been adopting IT to get into the global markets to gain visibility”, which 7MA believes could create the certainty of demand that will entice technology firms to establish permanent offices that would fill excess capacity with private sector contracts.    With fears of macro-economic slowing in emerging market economies like China and India, and continued instability in the Middle East, there remains an intriguing growth opportunity in Africa to deliver traditional enterprise technology solutions.
