Large buy-out private equity groups and strategics alike are actively pursuing mega-deals, as proven out year to date with such notable acquisitions as Microsoft’s acquisition of Movere, Ultimate Software’s sale to Hellman & Friedman and VMware’s acquisitions of Pivotal, and Carbon Black.
