According to IBISWorld, the digital advertising agency space grew 14% to reach revenue of $12b in 2018, and the number of digital agencies has grown by 15%. Given such a boom in terms of revenue and number of businesses operating in the space, it should come as no surprise that M&A has been robust for a number of years now as more traditional consulting companies seek to service an increasingly digital customer base. Going forward, we anticipate this appetite will continue to fuel consolidation in the space for the foreseeable future.
