The dramatic and sudden shift to working from home brought with it opportunity for threat actors and new information security threats. Management and IT teams deployed responses focused on weak points – such as compromises of privileged credentials and mixed use of personal and professional networks – by improving data encryption and identity and access management, and accelerating a switch to managed security services. 2021 will provide new opportunities for cybersecurity services as many personnel shift back to the office. So far, deal activity in 2021 has been outpacing activity the same period last year with 103 and 80 deals closed, respectively.
