Gartner anticipates augmented analytics and artificial intelligence to be drivers in the self-service business intelligence space. Due to the volume and variety of data, business analytics has become an industry of high growth with significant M&A attention due to a young and fragmented market. Business analytics is being used to make various meaningful business decisions that deliver increased revenues and/or decreased expenses and in 2019 self-service analytics tools are anticipated to process more information than data scientists.
