7 Mile Advisors Acts as the Exclusive Buy-side Advisor to Uniguest in Their Acquisition of Touchtown.
CHARLOTTE, NC — 7 Mile Advisors announces the acquisition of Touchtown, a Pittsburgh-based senior living community engagement provider, to Uniguest, a Nashville-based global provider of secure public-space technology solutions. The acquisition by Uniguest, an Atlantic Street Capital portfolio company, is designed to offer next generation technology to the senior living and hospitality industries by expanding Uniguest’s customer engagement solutions. Uniguest was advised exclusively on the buy-side by 7 Mile Advisors.
Previously, Uniguest and 7 Mile worked together on the acquisition of ONELAN, a U.K.-based digital signage and visual communications company, in May of 2018. The ONELAN transaction came as a compliment to acquisitions made by Uniguest in 2015 and 2016 in the secure kiosk market.
Regarding the transaction, Tim Frye, Director at 7 Mile Advisors said, “Uniguest’s acquisition of Touchtown is yet another step in successfully expanding its capabilities which have a meaningful impact on the hospitality sector while also growing internal value by increasing its software-based, recurring revenue streams.”
Touchtown solutions can be found in more than 1,200 communities, serving 250,000 seniors and 200,000 staff members. Adding the Touchtown portfolio to the Uniguest fold enhances value in both product offering and integration.
“We are seeing an increased demand for digital engagement and managed services in the senior living communities we operate in,” Uniguest’s CEO Jeff Hiscox said. “Adding Uniguest’s solutions like fitness kiosks and secure computing via Secured Advantage 10 to what Touchtown already provides will increase the breadth of product offerings for the senior living space.”
The technology Uniguest delivers focuses on cybersecurity, managed services, and providing engagement for its clients’ customers. Solutions include secure public computing and printers, fitness kiosks, and products from previously acquired ONELAN that comprise Reserva meeting room signage and other visual engagement solutions.
For the remainder of 2019, Touchtown will continue to operate as a stand-alone business with its current team members operating out of the Oakmont, Pennsylvania headquarters. Touchtown will immediately begin to sell Uniguest technology into the senior living space along with its current offerings. Culturally, the two teams are well aligned with a strong focus on customer success.
