RedMoon Solutions Acquired By Wolters Kluwer

RedMoon Solutions Acquired By Wolters Kluwer

7 Mile Advisors Acted As The Exclusive Sell-Side Advisor To Red Moon Solutions, LLC In Their Acquisition by Wolters Kluwer

7 Mile Advisors advised Red Moon Solutions, LLC (“Red Moon” or “Company”) in its sale to the Tax and Accounting division of Wolters Kluwer (“Wolters Kluwer”). Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Red Moon is a leading provider of tax and accounting software and cloud solutions for medium-to-large corporations, including a best-in-class fixed asset management solution. Led by Jim Shedivy, formerly the head of Arthur Andersen’s Tax Technology Enterprises division, Red Moon was formed by the acquisition of certain assets from Vertex Inc., who previously had acquired Jim’s division from Arthur Andersen.

Fixed Assets Manager™ (FAM) is Red Moon Solutions’ primary product. FAM provides a software tool for medium-to-large, multinational corporations to easily manage fixed asset depreciation across the company’s base of fixed assets. FAM incorporates annual depreciation rules updates into the product, which requires customers to regularly update their subscription. FAM is one of the most robust products in the fixed asset solution marketplace, offering customers the ability to manage large numbers of assets over many different accounting books for depreciation calculation (e.g. federal, state, jurisdictional, etc.) with IFRS and GAAP compliance. FAM is delivered either on-premise or hosted.

eTax Portal is a newer product offering that provides a Web-based solution for corporations to manage their tax calendars collaboratively, and to share and manipulate tax filing and depreciation related documents via the cloud. eTax Portal is provided to customers as a hosted solution, and also serves as a conduit for Red Moon Solutions to offer various workflow improvement solutions to clients. Other Red Moon products include eTax Calendar and eTax Audit Room.

This acquisition advances Wolters Kluwer’s strategy to expand its leading position in the high-growth Corporate Market and further expands Wolters Kluwer Corporate Services’ offerings, including the CCH Integrator suite, in serving medium-to-large corporations with multinational operations.

For more information, see Wolters Kluwer’s transaction announcement.

7 Mile Advisors was the exclusive sell-side advisor to Red Moon.
