Carolina was born and raised in Santiago, Chile. She came to the U.S. more than 20 years ago in connection with her work at Deloitte’s Global Resources Group. For the past decade, Carolina has worked in the health care industry with a focus on operations, finance, provider enrollment, human resources, and complex, back-office business functions. She has held increasingly senior positions with medical practices, hospitals, and for the last seven years at the corporate level for Bon Secours Mercy Health a fully integrated, multi-state health system with more than 40 hospitals, hundreds of employed physicians, and billions of dollars per year in patient revenue. Carolina is a native Spanish speaker and fully bilingual. She has volunteered extensively as a certified medical translator for poor patients who do not speak English and need critical medical care. Carolina earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond.
