The apparel industry is seeing an interest from investors and acquirors in brand-driven strategies. Innovations in eCommerce, social media marketing and outsourced / white-label manufacturing have created new business models which are challenging established brands and global players. There is also a renewed interest in engineered fabrics and “athleisure” where gym and athletic wear are merging with high fashion brands to form a new market segment.
