Our monthly M&A Watch spotlights deals in the Information Technology industry throughout Western Europe.
June saw 53 deals getting closed in the Western Europe IT Services space, compared to 47 during the same time in 2020. Strategic acquirers, often with private equity backing, were more acquisitive this month with 30 of the deals being done by strategic acquirers and 23 by private equity groups. Overall activity in the region is picking up and is pointing towards a potential record year for deal volume if activity remains strong.
Longship, a private equity investment firm that focuses on medium-sized growth companies in Norway has acquired The Cloud People. The Cloud People is a provider of Google Cloud implementation and integration services in the Nordic region.
